Bosun's Chair

This sturdy chair mutated several times during the course of its construction.
The tall back was made from a length of pitch-pine board which was found, broken into a long (isosceles) triangle by the side of Oare Creek. I have carved a moored sailing boat onto this and fitted it into the back-rail of the chair with long tenons. The chunky rope provides further support and prevents too much leverage on the joint.
All parts were collected on Oare marshes.
