Octopus & Flying-fish Cabinet

This is the first of a pair of bedside cabinets that were commissioned following my 'All Washed Up' exhibition at the end of 2019.
The four legs once belonged to an oak table, they are not driftwood but they were just the right dimensions for the job and formed the starting point for the design. The rest of the wood used was a mix of driftwood oak and mahogany from my usual hunting ground of Oare Creek. The flying-fish drawer front was the final piece of a length of chunky mahogany moulding that I found along the creek some years ago.

Approximate height 29 inches, width 16 inches and depth 15 inches.
