Reedbed Cabinet

The carcass of this small cabinet is made from mahogany and mahogany-like driftwood from Oare Creek. The driftwood oak side-panels are carved with images of reedmace (Typha latifolia), the door has a relief-carving of a heron standing in a clump of reeds, and the drawer-front has two butterflies carved on it.
Standing just two feet tall, and with a top approximately one foot square, this would be ideal as a bedside cabinet.
