Shoreline Cupboard

The inspiration for this side-table came from the shape of the driftwood pieces that I chose for the front legs. I am not sure what hardwood species it is but I had just enough to complete the frame, before finding another length which I used to frame the top with hardly any to spare.

The side panels have a relief-carving of a Goby, the front rail has carved drips, and the doors have trapped beachstones in place of panels.

The central panel of the table-top has been heavily scoured by something in its past, stones perhaps? It is the same type of dense tropical hardwood that coastal groins are made from.

Height 26 inches, table-top 36 x 14 inches.
